Aquatic Life Program

What is real and what is theory? Studies show the present scientific analysis of models and systems in ecology and biology. Yet, What is actually accomplished if these reports are taken into action. If we change the way we create reports they could be far more effective. First we look at the value of the project, What kind of conversions are we making? Is the result beneficial?

Our first mission, we look at the aquaculture of the frogs and fish in their habitats.

1 mother frog lays 300 larval in a natural environment. In a recovery system 1 mother frog lays up to 3000.

Now if the theory is that the mother will not live to produce 3000 larva in a natural environment then we can assume the larval wont produce that amount the same environment. Therefore a report on 1 species is not enough, only a full analysis of the habitat will support our decisions before taking an action that may affect the other cultures in the food chain.

Current Studies: Habitats of the spotted turtle, wood turtle and midland painted turtles.

By supporting these food chains we can ensure a safe migration and another year of survival for these species.

How unsafe is the food for canadian wildlife in 2011

The human population has reached 7 billion. We don’t have the same diet as birds and coyotes, Think about what you have access to daily, clean water, snacks and subway sandwiches. Now imagine never knowing if the corn you were biting into contained pesticides or if the crop was in its last season because gastropod macroborers on a locust attack.

A total of 65% of all food in the united states already contains products from genetically engineered crops. The export products of Canada are trending in the same direction. So that’s less food for the species that are already hiding from fur trappers and weather related habitat loss.

More of us need to get involved in protecting the animals at highest risk. You and your friends can join in the upcoming trip to Rouge Valley where volunteers can help with the planting of mulberry red trees and be involved in the election of FFAF directors and Officers.

Make sure to be prepared for rain and mud.
